This weekend the family went on a camping adventure. Hailey turned 2 months old on Saturday and left for her first camping trip ever! We went to Grayland, WA and stayed in Grayland State Park in a yurt! As per usual, the Carlins brought everything but the kitchen sink!
Noah and Hailey's relfection in the mirror! We started our trip off listening to Caspar Babypants, truly the best road trip music ever I think. Love those songs (perhaps more than Noah even?) :)
We stopped in Olympia on our way to the coast and stopped in the capital building:
believe it or not, this is our first family photo since Hailey was born!
Here we are at our campsite. This is a yurt!
And here is a yurt with ALL our stuff!
Noah thought this was hysterical!
Noah's first kite-flying experience!
I got to give it a try too!
Big pic of the yurt, with Noah driving a car up a tree.
Thank goodness for travel swings!
Noah LOVED camping. He loved everything about it! Here he is all ready for bed. Before going ot bed we saw a green froggy in our campsite, which was very exciting. Noah was afraid of bears for some reason, even though we told him there were no bears around those parts, and he also was slightly bothered by the moth on his bed... but he got over it! :) He had fun collecting pinecones and driving his cars all over. We played some frisbee, toasted marshmallows (Noah prefers them raw, can you believe it?! How can he be MY child!?) Staying in a yurt made this trip easy peasy, too. Plus they had the fire pit and table on cement, so we didnt even get really drity like you do when camping for real. And, the yurt is heated!
The next morning, our sweet Hailey Bug. 2 months old!
Hailey wasn't so pleased with this scenario! (Note Daddy's hand holding her in place... haha).
Our family :) :)
Later that day we checked out the jetski competition and Chris introduced Noah to dribble castles!
That was a great trip!
