39 weeks and other stuff

Saw the doctor yesterday and nothing has changed.  Baby Carlin is still content in my belly.

And FYI, we have not 100% decided on a name.  Totally thought we did, but now I am not so sure.  I liked Hailey Claire, but I keep going back to Brooke Evelina... still searching in case there is something even better :).  I am totally open to suggestions!

Me and my giant belly are feeling pretty good, I get really hot a lot but that's about it.  I reached my goal to work until the 8th and feel like I will probably be going in on Monday and Tuesday, too.  I hope so, because I cant wait to tell my co-workers this big news:

My best case scenario for my job came true yesterday!  LWSD is hiring me back for next year through my contract company.  And I negotiated a way to then let me become their permanent employee the following year without the giant fee that is in place now.  So, I get to continue with no commute, no salary change (well, except a raise of some kind at the end of the summer!), and I get to continue working with the same wonderful, supportive people in a pretty much stress-free environment.  I am soooo happy and feel so lucky and blessed.  ... Now I am trying to figure out how to break the news to MISD, who have been waiting patiently to hear if they get me back.

Chris is actively looking for a better job as well (he is working, but wouldn't hurt to find something even better :) ).  He is so super helpful these days, too, with cooking, helping with Noah, getting me things when I don't feel like getting off the couch... :)  Such a good man.

And Noah is doing great!  He is playing with his playdoh right now and just told me he is making some eggs for breakfast.  :)   He is doing great keeping his diaper dry overnight... not as great keeping his fingers out of his mouth overnight though.  Not sure how to make that one stop since he is sleeping or half asleep when he does it... maybe when the baby comes and I am up all night I can stare at him all night and make him stop in the moment :)  Ha.  :)  Noah is also a bit of a high energy goofball a lot of the time, making the bedtime routine a bit frustrating at times... but he is excited about his baby.  Although... he has said a few times that his baby is not a girl, its a boy.  Doh!  There is that 1% chance I suppose.  When I ask him a question, he pauses to tap his chin with his finger to think and then tells me his thought.  So cute!  I asked him what he wanted to share on the blog and he said he wants to share his toys with his baby... then he wanted to tell you  all about his cars and that he likes to play with them.

Things are great!  Life is good!  I feel ready for our big birthday, as ready as I can be anyway.  And the nurse told me that this weekend I should get pampered, since it may be my last baby-free weekend... and my mom has already agreed to give me a pedicure!!
