xmas in seattle 2013, a set on Flickr.
This past Sunday Grandma and I took the kids to Seattle! We had such a great time! It was a good night to go as it wasn't very busy!! First we went to grandma's work to park and then checked out the ice rink at the seattle center. its so cheap and we totally need to go skating someday! noah was very interested. then we checked out the awesome train display inside, where noah even got to control the train. they were both really into checking out the train, it was so cute to watch. then we got some poutine, my mom's fav treat. next up was the monorail ride to west lake center. we got to see the pretty downtown with big xmas trees and the macy's star! then we walked to the Fairmont Olympic hotel to se the famous teddy bear suite. there were beautiful trees in the lobby and the suite was very cute, filled with lots of teddies and snowflakes. hailey has learned a new word, NO, and was pretty clear that the big teddies would not be hugged! she did snuggle with the smaller ones though... she loves her teddy at home and calls him bebe. noah loved taking his shoes off and climbing up onto the big snuggly bed with all the teddies. then they got free candy canes, hailey's first! after that we walked to the Sheraton to see the gingerbread houses, with a stop at mod pizza for dinner. the gingerbread houses had the theme of nursery rhymes, which is so perfect because noah has gotten really into them lately. he even recited one of his favs for the camera! then we went back to the carousel for 2 rides and ended the night playing in the snowglobe, with fake (plastic) snow! noah was super excited about this. and it was really fun! even sick hailey had a good time picking it up and throwing it around! all in all it was such an awesome time! my mom and I kept saying how happy we were that we went when we did... it was so nice without all the crowds! a great start to the Christmas season!! hooray!
