this past weekend i put hailey in noah's room for her naps for the first time. last night noah asked if she could sleep in there over night, so we gave it a try! she slept until about 3 and then i scooped her up and brought her back into our room before noah woke up! she sometimes sleeps until 4, sometimes only til 3, somtimes even later. she wakes up ready for snuggle time with mommy. i like snuggle time, too... just wish it happened maybe closer to 5 or 6. :)
tonight was the second night hailey went to sleep in noah's room. she was crying at first and i heard noah on the monitor, "its ok, baby hailey" and then he tried to "read" her a story. his is such an awesome little boy!
meanwhile, hailey has figured out in the last week how to go from laying on her belly to sitting up.
we are working on introducing solids to her, but she is also teething and back on alimentum... so her pooh is weird, but i dont know if its normal weird or concerning weird. :) yeah, always contemplating hailey's pooh. its a glamorous life. he he :) but she has had sweet potato, pear, apple, peas (sorta - she nearly gagged, so she didnt get much of a taste) and bananas. I am going to be trying baby led weaning and not pureeing everything... i still need to read up on it more, but i took a feeding class last week that pretty much said baby's dont need everything pureed! she definitely liked real pear a heck of a lot more than jarred pear!
noah has been interested in writing the alphabet and will sit with me and practice writing all the letters in upper case. its so great that i have my ot background and all this background knowledge about teaching handwriting. we are using the Handwriting Without Tears stuff.
