Hailey is FOUR Months old

My Sweet, Awesome little baby is already 4 months old. We had her check up and she is doing great!

She weighs 12 pounds 12 ounces (25th -50th percentile)
She is 24-25 inches (50th to 75th percentile)
Her head is 16.4 inches (75th percentile)

She got some shots and cried only briefly.  I didn't even have to feed her to calm her this time, just hugs, and then the pacifier when she was not crying anymore... only a matter of minutes.  Which was good because Noah went next and he needed me... poor Noah started crying before the shot.  :(  But he was fine soon after too and we did the chicken dance to feel better!  (His idea! LOL!)

Hailey is super social.  She lights up when we talk to her, even look at her.  She yells at us to pay attention to her.  She hardly ever cries, but she has so much to say all the time.  She really likes to be a part of the conversation!

Hailey will hold herself up with her arms while doing tummy time, although only briefly, as she still prefers to belly surf.  I just put a mirror out for her so she can look at herself while belly surfing.  She has not rolled yet, not since the accidental rolling long ago.

She likes to sit in her bumbo while hanging out with Noah or while we are having dinner.  We are practicing sitting up, too, but she still needs me to hold her up... her head is very steady though!

She reaches for and grabs toys all the time now.  She really loves her little zebra toy the best I think.  She is just starting to put things into her mouth now, too... such as her dolly as I was trying to take pictures!  Lol.

She loves books!  She will look at each page, really focusing on the pictures, looking at each page.

Around her 3 month birthday, Hailey was having some diarrhea that lingered for about 3-4 weeks, so we had it tested.  Boy was that an ordeal.  Put me into tears trying to collect it... not to mention, it was gross. :)  But we did it and she doesn't have any scary things like c diff or rotovirus or giardia.  So doc recommended I go on a soy and milk free diet.  I have been on it for over a week now and it Sucks, to be totally honest.  It seems her pooh was normalizing before I started my diet, though, so I maybnot need to be on it for too long. Doc says give it 2 more weeks, then introduce soy and see what happens.

We also had to introduce formula just before she turned 4 months old as I am not able to get enough from pumping each day.  Ellen said Hailey doesn't care for it, but she'll eat it.  Such a good , easy going baby!  So different from Noah in this regard... he was so picky with his bottle!  I am going to wait to introduce solids, they say 6 months nowadays and Hailey doesn't really seem too interested yet... plus I want to figure out if she is allergic or intolerant to soy and milk first.

We brought her into her crib just before she turned 4 months old, too.  After a few days she is going to bed nicely (last night we discovered she needs more food than I am providing through breastfeeding, so we gave her a bottle before bed and she slept at least 8 hours!!  That's her first 8 hour stretch!  Go Hailey!  We are aiming to have her in bed by 7 and Noah in bed by 730.  Some nights we actually succeed!

hailey likes to suck on her bottom lip these days.  tee hee.
SOO bummed this is blurry!

Tonight we had family craft night... we made a family of ghosts!  :)
