Now that our family is growing, I thought it would be best to have one blog to post about the whole family. Noah's Super Awesome Blog will not be deleted, but he will now be making his posts here, along with posts from the rest of the family. I will start off this blog with a post about Baby #2! Here are some pics and how things have been going so far with my pregnancy.
On 10/12/11 we found out we are going to have another baby with a home pregnancy test. I woke Chris up that morning singing and dancing telling him the awesome news.
| 11/13/11 - 9 weeks. At this point I am not sleeping well. Also lots of emotions all over the place and on a chips and salsa kick. |
| 11/15/11 - 9 weeks, our first appointment with the doc who called baby a "gummi bear" |
12/17/11 - 14 weeks, I already gained 10 pounds and moved into my fat clothes! after a first trimester of nausea and being in a generally bad mood, i am feeling great now! i don't feel like i am in a perpetual bad mood anymore and i enjoyed salmon for the first time ever, but not interested in mexican at all. no real cravings to speak of.
And last night I had a dream that the baby was a very happy, smiley girl and she wanted to be born early because she couldn't wait to get out and get hugs from mommy. The night before I had a dream it was a chunky little boy, though... so we'll see! Jan 31st I have an ultrasound and hopefully we can find out then!!
Here's an update on the amazing Noah: Noah is talking in long sentences all the time now, sharing things he observes and remembers. He has a great memory for things that happened weeks ago... sometimes I have to pause and think for a minute before I realize he actually knew what he was talking about! He also is constantly asking me what I am doing, even if I just told him! He cracks me up. And apparently he spent the morning asking Chris "why" about everything yesterday! He is such a sweet boy, giving hugs to his playmates at daycare, but getting a little bit more independent/slightly defiant at times. Thankfully no tantrums, just doesn't always come when I call him, stuff like that. He is starting to use the potty to go pee pee a lot, but still hides in a corner to go poo poo in his diaper. I am hoping to have him potty trained well before Baby #2 comes in June so I got him a potty book and some undies for Christmas. :) The other night he climbed out of his crib, falling to the floor with a loud Thud! I was soooo scared when I heard him fall, but he cried for like 10 seconds and said "I'm okay mommy" after he got up on his own and got a hug! Phew! Regardless, we ordered a toddler bed for him and he spent his first night in it last night. It's perfect for him. He also likes to sing songs, but can be shy when asked to and doesn't like having his picture taken very much. :( He likes to sing the ABCs and other songs and tells me when we are in a store and he hears a Christmas songs he recognizes, "I know that song!!". And he dances when he hears music he likes, even if it is at Office Depot while waiting in line. He likes to listen to me play my guitar and loves to play with his playdoh and to draw. His circles are amazing and when he accidentally makes something like a heart he gets all excited. He still likes craft projects and wants to play the guessing game all the time (I give him hints about something I am thinking about, usually from something we did that day, and he guesses what I am thinking... he's good at it and it helps us while waiting in lines and stuff). He calls me and Chris "Mom" and "Dad" often now... too funny, Mommy and Daddy come out sometimes too but mostly he calls Chris Dad now. He asks for permission for everything and he says please and thank you all the time. His day care provider says he is the most polite kid she has. :) He likes to help me do chores like but clothes in the dryer, take dishes out of the dishwasher, help me bake, put things in the trash. Honestly, he is just the best little boy ever. He's adorable and perfect and I am so proud of him.
