Noah's Pre-K teacher just told me, as she was trying yet again to convince me to put him in kindergarten next year, that he is literally the top of his Pre-K class this year by a long shot. She said they normally don't share that kind of info in a parent conference but all the teachers agree that Noah would really thrive in kindergarten next year... decisions decisions. We had already decided we would NOT put him in kindergarten next year for lots of reasons, a decision we have been mulling over for a long time (years). Now, with this input from the teachers and people who really know him well... we may have to change our minds. Instead of doing 2 years of preschool, he would do 2 years of kindergarten, potentially... unless this time next year they tell me they really think he should go on to 1st grade. Cross that bridge when we come to it. They think he is ready in all areas, not just that he is super smart, but also socially. AND they are giving us a scholarship so we can actually afford it. Amazing.
