My sweet, thoughtful Noah

Noah is really the best little son a Mommy could ever ask for.  I just bumped my knee and said "Ouch."  Just a little ouch, nothing dramatic, but nonetheless, from the other room "You okay, Mommy?"  He runs over "Do you want me to sing you a song?"  "ABCDEFG..."  He always sings me the ABC's.  He knows how to make me smile.  The other day I wasn't feeling well and he insisted on sitting with me and helping to bring the water bottle to my mouth because he heard me tell Chris that I needed to drink more water.  He always gives me a hug and a kiss when I ask, which really is just special for me because he will not give out hugs to anyone else just because they asked!  Lucky Mommy I am!!

Just some more things while I am talking about him :)  When he comes home from day care he likes to share what happened that day, interestingly enough it tends to be confessions about when he got a time out for running or something like that.  Lol.

Also, we are having some success great success with him not sucking his fingers during the day.  I decided long ago that when he turns 2 1/2 (on the 26th) I will start working hard on this.  I got some "Thum" which is supposed to be that bad tasting stuff you put on fingernails to deter them from sucking... but that stuff is a joke! The taste is subtle if that and it had no affect on Noah at all.  So, instead I decided a reward system might work.  He now gets a sticker whenever I catch him not sucking his fingers, I reward him constantly.  And when he gets 15 stickers he gets a new car!  It is working like magic!!  He burst into tears a few times when he had his fingers in his mouth and I reminded him.  BUT he took his fingers out right away, which is HUGE considering a few days ago, before the car-reward, he would ignore me!  He was saying "I don't want a new car" a few times, I think when he really wanted to put his fingers in his mouth, but he still wouldn't put them in!  Mommy is soo happy, because his top front teeth are coming forward from all the sucking power.  He goes tot he dentist next month and wouldn't it be great if he wasn't sucking his fingers anymore then?!

More updates to come soon, in honor of his 2 1/1 birthday!

In the meantime, I have entered my third trimester (28 weeks) and am feeling dizzy often.  Doc says that is very common.  I also think I was having Braxton Kicks contractions the other day, but nothing to worry about.  That's also common, and they say you notice it more your second time around.  I have gained about 23 pounds so far, but have been told (by strangers at that) that I look good.  You all have no idea how much that means to a pregnant woman!  It's so nice to hear a compliment like that when you are feeling quite the opposite!

Time to get ready for Noah's 2 1/1 photo shoot with Gruncle Dean and Grandma!  ...
