The Carlin Family had an AWESOME weekend! Chris starts a new job next week and I had 5 days off, so we thought it was a perfect time to go to my favorite part of the world, the Olympic Coast!!! We took the Edmonds/Kingston ferry and traveled about 4 1/2 hours to the Quileute Oceanside Resort in La Push. The winter rates at this motel, with kitchenette, were so cheap, too! We seriously had the best time ever! It rained the entire drive over, but stopped in time for us to enjoy a fire on the beach!

The next day we drove about an hour to the Hoh Rainforest where we hiked a few miles.

This was the trip I have been waiting for the past 3 1/2 years! I love the Olympic Coast!!

Looks like you guys had so much fun! I'm so happy you are back in the NW so you can enjoy it with your family. And with Chris getting a job, it seems like the move is going to work out. So happy for you!!!
